Abstract

The brain stem activity levels of aspartate aminotransferase (E.C. 2.6.1.1) and alanine aminotransferase (E.C. 2.6.1.2) were elevated in alloxan-​diabetic frogs, perhaps owing to an increase in the free amino acid pool.
