Abstract

Mixed crystals of KBr-​NaBr of different compns. were grown by slow evapn. technique. Crystals were doped with Au. Both the undoped and Au doped crystals were γ-​irradiated using 60Co source. All the irradiated samples were subjected to thermoluminescence, optical absorption and ESR studies. The present study shows the compn. dependence of the parameters and enhancement in the luminescence intensity as well as the absorption coeff. with Au doping. For the nonirradiated samples, lattice parameter detn., microhardness and dielec. studies were carried out.
