Abstract

Data mining, a fast evolving technology, is being adopted by organizations for gaining a competitive edge in the business world. Organizations aim at harnessing prediction insights, using data mining technology, on the datasets, stored, as a part of their technology initiatives. Clustering is used for unsupervised prediction and classification techniques group datasets into predefined categorical classes. Our paper, presents a prediction model, using clustering as the base technique for identifying the underlying patterns in the existing data and then uses the classifier concepts to gain better accuracy in prediction.
